Bedwetting is a big issue for many families and finding the solution is pretty tricky. If the child’s parents were bed wetters, then the child’s chance is high. It is definitely not a naughty behaviour, but simply, that the message from the brain to the bladder isn’t getting through, to stop the kidneys producing too much urine at night.
There are medications, but I think the preferred method by professionals is a bedwetting alarm. I have tried a cheap one I bought for $100 online, I hired one with a big rubber mat from a occupational therapist (valued at $1000), but the best yet I believe and many physiotherapists believe too, is the M04 Ultimate Sound and Vibration Wearable alarm. As the same suggests, it has an alarm and it vibrates against the child’s chest to assist deep sleepers. It is valued at about $180 and can be found at: http://thebedwettingshop.com.au/
I think perseverance, along with patience and love, will prove to be successful. No alarm going off, in the middle of the night is pleasant, but the big picture is a happy one. I have heard of some kids just stopping their bedwetting at the thought of using an alarm and having cords running from their privates to their chest! However, not everyone gets it that easy! Good luck
