How many nights do you need in Rome and Tokyo, Sydney or New York? The next two questions are: do you want to be rushed or be spontaneous and will you visit again one day? I think two or three nights in a major City is perfect and you can take a lot in, of course if you have the time and money for more, then that is great too.
The crucial thing id to do a lot of research before you leave and talk to as many people as possible – preferably people from the place you want to visit! It is about what you see, but remember it is also about the experience and just being in the new place and absorbing more than one place of interest. Of course tours are sometimes good because they are convenient and often they can save time, however, the cost is high. Travelling is expensive, but if it is planned right, it is well worth every cent.
I think every child loves travelling and I think it is because it is so exciting and new and different. They also get to see their parents in a different way and it can be very therapeutical for everyone. However, again, planning is vital if family holidays are to be successful!
Two nights in a new city is exciting and a lot can be seen and enjoyed and while not everything can be seen, do a lottery draw or list the top five and visit what you can!
