I think encouraging our tween girls to take care of their skin is positive. Buy them a facial cleanser (without Sodium Lauryl Sulphate in it) and a natural moisturiser. It is a good idea to start the good habit early.
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is in so many products and it creates the foaming and it is a cheap chemical to avoid. There a products without it and are the same price or cheaper than the ones that contain SLS. Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) and Ammonium Laurel Sulfate (ALS) also needed to be avoided.
My daughter is 11-years-old and I am proud of her taking the time to be so pampering to her skin. I think it is something that we don’t force though because life has enough necessities as it is. Just have the product there and explain it and one day it will look appealing!
I read recently that men’s skin is thicker and oilier and often their skin is exposed to damaging conditions so men’s facial cleansers without SLS, is also a positive step. I think young men also need to shave with a good lotion and moisturise.
