In the past 24 hours if you were to Google ‘sleep news’, The Wall Street Journal wrote about sleep and temperature, The Science Magazine wrote about mood and sleep,The Sydney Morning Herald wrote about a high protein diet and sleep and The Science Daily wrote about insomnia and sleep.
Years ago there was very little research and I wonder how everyone slept? Probably very well. The reason why our sleep habits need to be so defined probably is because of our defined lifestyle. There is an app on every aspect of sleep!
If you are having trouble sleeping, I am not sure any of the hundreds of sleep articles produced really helps sleep! These articles help those people researching sleep!
Avoiding Google and media and technology and just grabbing an old fashioned pillow and a comfortable place to lie is a good recommendation I think! Possibly stressing about all of the things you are not doing is keeping you awake so I advise you to switch off everything and go to sleep!

I was surprised to see the WSJ article on sleep and temperature. I was even more surprised when I saw that the Today Show was also reporting on the story. I believe they said that 65 degrees is the ideal sleeping temperature. For me, that’s a bit too cold. Have to wonder if it really works!

Hi Joe,
Yes, being that this is about 18 degrees Celsius, that is a bit cold, but with blankets I like it! Even though we tell our kids not to waste the cold air, the contrast is refreshing for me, but I can see how it could be too cold for some! Thanks for your comment. Shaz 🙂
