Eating healthy, exercising and sleep help people live a healthy and fulfilling life, but they also help prevent diseases, including Alzheimer’s Disease. About 850,000 Alzheimer’s patients are in Britain, more than 5 million in the US and almost 400,000 in Australia.
It is the little things that can make a difference; just walking the stairs, instead of the escalator or walking the long way to where you need to go or a stroll to the park, are all easy ways of making a difference.
Drink tea and plenty of it. Green tea is the best, but English tea and coffee still have benefits. Eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, and salmon, fish and eggs.
It is also important to make your life interesting and mix things up a little, for example: re-arrange your cupboard and do things on a different day and play games and puzzles.
Get the sleep you need and just be aware of your naps affecting you sleep and make it sleep a priority.
And of course being social is very beneficial to your well-being and to preventing Alzheimer’s Disease. If you are eating well, exercising and mixing things up a little, you will feel like socialising and sharing your new found wisdom!
Finally, a joke a day is great so you keep laughing! Some older men, take up Dad jokes and while they are painful at times, the benefits are great!

The most amazing news is a new drug that can reverse the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease. Researchers at the University of Zurich’s Institute for Regenerative Medicine said the antibody drug, Aducanumab is an absolute game changer.
The study started last year and is on-going until 2022.
